Spring started, where’s the sun?

It is impossible to complain about anything in the Northwest when so much tragedy is happening throughout the world. When we hear about the radiation of vegetables in Japan it makes our hearts ache for the farmers and the consumers. The threat to their food supply and ours is not over we remain vigilant.
Our land continues to be drenched with rain. We can’t get anything planted outside yet and the cool temperatures and lack of sun keep greenhouse seedlings stunted. You will see from the photos that some things have grown, especially the spinach. We were told by our friend Roy that the rain was to stop at midnight last night (it was still raining at 0600 when I peered out the window) but the sun is trying to breakthrough as I write this update. It is time to get out and set up more tables for seedlings to rest on as they wait for beds to be made in the field.
